We are in upstate New York and we are investigating the Shanley Hotel! The hotel opened in the mid 1800s.. Napanoch was a nice vacation destination from those attempting to escape the hustle & bustle of the larger cities.  Due to the convenience of the railroad, many a traveler came to rest his head. along the years deaths happened and even a fire broke out in the hotel..
