India Targets ₹1 Lakh Crore Seafood Exports | National Seafood Workshop in Visakhapatnam

India is gearing up for a massive leap in seafood exports!

A prestigious National Seafood Workshop was held in Visakhapatnam with the participation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Ram Mohan Naidu, and Chirag Paswan.

After achieving nearly ₹74,000 crore in seafood exports last year, India is now working towards an ambitious target of ₹1 lakh crore in annual seafood exports.

As India's leading aquaculture-producing state, Andhra Pradesh is expected to play a key role in achieving this goal. Under the PMMSY scheme, major investments worth ₹1,352 crore are being made in fishing harbours, aquaculture parks, and fisheries infrastructure across the state.
