I never really understood the meaning of this song in the 48 years I’ve been listening to it. You can’t miss FBI and D.A. (District Attorney) and “Long Cool Woman” in a black dress. I knew it had something to do with a bust and a law enforcement officer trying to get a woman, that caught his eye, out safely. A closer look at it, after researching the writer's purpose, revealed that it is about Prohibition when the United States outlawed alcohol in 1920. The song is iconic and timeless. One of the best Rock n’ Roll songs ever written.
