Tea Tasting and Review: 2013 Mengku "Wild Arbor King" from Yunnan Sourcing.

In this episode we will be reviewing one of my favorite cakes from Yunnan Sourcing website, the 2013 "Wild Arbor King". This Mengku cake is made entirely from 2013 spring first flush material and comes in a staggering 500g cake! Aside from the tea tasting and review I encourage you to figure out the music choices (they are drastically slowed for copyright :/ ).

Pungent baked fruit notes, plum sake in the nose, slight astringency coating the tongue, full bodied and complex tea liquor to boot. Along with a great price point this is a steal!

Only 5 steeping but this could go for another 5 easily. Absolutely one of the best bargain shengs that I've ever had.
