इस गर्मी में खुद का तो ख्याल तो रखें ही, लेकिन अपने पशुओं को न भूल जाएँ। क्योंकि जरा सी लापरवाही से नुकसान उठाना पड़ सकता है। राष्ट्रीय आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण लू से बचाने के लिए लगातार सलाह जारी कर रहा है। इन बातों का ध्यान रखकर अपने पशुओं को लू लगने से बचा सकते हैं।

अगर पशुओं को घर के अंदर रखा जाना संभव नहीं है तो किसी छायादार जगह पर बाँधें, जहाँ वो आराम रह सकें। लेकिन ध्यान रखें जिस जगह पर उन्हें रखा जाए वहाँ पर दिन भर छाया होनी चाहिए।

पशुओं को किसी बंद जगह पर न रखें, क्योंकि गर्म मौसम में उन्हें जल्दी गर्मी लगती है।

गर्मी के मौसम में पशु चारा खाना कम कर देते हैं, क्योंकि भूख कम लगती है और प्यास ज़्यादा। पशुपालक अपने पशु को दिन में कम से कम तीन बार पानी पिलाएँ।

पशुओं का चारा धूप में न रखें, अगर आपके पास कुत्ता है तो उसे गर्मी में न टहलाएँ, उसे सुबह शाम ही घुमाएँ जब मौसम ठंडा हो। कुत्ते को बाहर खड़ी गाड़ी में न छोड़ें।

अगर कुत्ता हाँफ रहा है या तेज साँस ले रहा हो, लगातार लार टपका रहा हो, मसूड़े और जीभ लाल हो गई, तो समझिए गर्मी लगी है।

मुर्गियों में अगर तेज साँस की शिकायत हो, या फिर पानी ज़्यादा पीने लगे और खाना कम कर दे तो आपकी मुर्गी को गर्मी लगी है।

गर्म दिनों में पशु को नहलाना चाहिए खासतौर पर भैंस को ठंडे पानी से नहलाना चाहिए।

गर्मी के मौसम में दूध उत्पादन और पशु की शारीरिक क्षमता बनाये रखने के लिए पशु आहार महत्वपूर्ण है।

गर्मी के मौसम में पशुओं को हरा चारा अधिक मात्रा में देना चाहिए। इसके दो लाभ हैं- पशु चाव से हरा और पौष्टिक चारा खाकर अधिक ऊर्जा प्राप्त करता है और हरे चारे में 70-90 प्रतिशत तक पानी की मात्रा होती है, जो समय-समय पर शरीर में पानी की कमी पूरा करते हैं।

The National Disaster Management Authority is continuously issuing advice to protect livestock from heatstroke. By paying attention to these points, you can safeguard your animals from heatstroke.

If keeping animals indoors isn't possible, tie them in a shaded area where they can rest comfortably. Ensure there is shade available throughout the day.

Avoid keeping animals in confined spaces during hot weather as they can quickly overheat.

Animals tend to eat less during hot weather due to decreased appetite and increased thirst. Make sure to provide water to your animals at least three times a day.

Do not leave fodder for animals exposed to direct sunlight. If you have a dog, avoid taking it out during the heat; walk them in the morning or evening when the weather is cooler. Never leave your dog in a parked car.

If your dog is panting heavily, breathing rapidly, drooling excessively, and its gums and tongue appear red, understand that it might be suffering from heatstroke.

If your poultry is showing signs of rapid breathing or starts drinking more water while eating less, it might be experiencing heat stress.

Animals, especially buffaloes, should be bathed during hot days, preferably with cool water.

Diet is crucial for milk production and maintaining the physical condition of animals during hot weather.

During summer, animals should be provided with ample green fodder. This has dual benefits - animals receive nutrition and energy from fresh green fodder, and it contains 70-90% water content, which helps replenish the body's water levels.
