Section 8 Company is a special company registered under the provisions of Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. Section 8 Company type of format is very popular format for NGO. Section 8 Company is always preferable over Trust and Society because of its own advantages e.g. easy formation process, cost effective, better credibility and many more. Section 8 Company can be registered as a private limited company or also as a public limited company. For registering a section 8 company as private limited company you need minimum two individual as Director and 2 Persons (Individual or Legal Person) as shareholders. For registering a Section 8 Company as public limited company, you need minimum 3 Directors and 7 Seven Shareholders. In addition to the above you need to have a registered office address.
