H-1B Visa Fraud: 2 Indian-Origin Men Plead Guilty for Scam, Face Jail Term In California | Spotlight

Two Indian-origin Telugu men in the United States have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit H-1B visa fraud, the US Department of Justice has said. Sampath Rajidi and Sreedhar Mada, both 51 and residents of Dublin, California, admitted to recruiting foreign nationals by falsely promising employment at the University of California, despite there being no such vacancies. The pair now face up to five years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 each.
