Can I Make a Wooden Door Look Like an Old Industrial Steel Door?

Do you like the industrial decor look? I used some painting techniques to make an inexpensive wooden door look like an old industrial steel door like you'd see in an old warehouse or something. I did something similar to the doors on my shop cabinets but those started out a dark color already and I added the red on top. This time I painted the door with a flat black and then lightly sprayed Cabernet Red over it with just a fine mist.
