Road to the Games Episode 16.07: Webb / Toomey

On this episode of Road to the Games, get to know a little more about the journeys of Games vet Kara Webb and 2015 Games rookie and second-place finisher Tia-Clair Toomey.

Webb has been a favorite to win the title Fittest on Earth since 2014, but her luck hasn’t been the greatest. After withdrawing from the 2014 Games due to injury, she came back more fit than ever in 2015 only to be sidelined again by a bout of heat exhaustion during Murph. In impressive style, she still went on to take fifth overall. This year, her goal is more clear than ever: win the CrossFit Games.

Toomey surprised everyone—including herself—when she took second at last year’s Games after a consistent performance all weekend. Now, she’s proud to say she will be competing on the big stage in Carson, California, and competing in the Olympics for weightlifting in the same year.
