The Geely EX2 is the brand's smallest model and will be the 3rd overall Geely model to hit the UK roads when it arrives this summer, following the EX5 & Starray EM-I.

Last year the EX2 was China’s bestselling model overall!

Starting at under £20,000, the EX2 will undercut many rivals such as the Renault 5, Nissan Micra EV, Volkswagen ID.POLO & many more, it is expected to be one of the cheapest in the class. Currently sold in China as the Geely Geome Xingyuan, it is offered with a 30 or 40kWh battery, providing a range of up to 255 miles, on the Chinese test cycle.

Full UK Specs and pricing is yet too be announced at time of filming, but it is likely to be offered in a range of colours, with similar impressive features on board such as the 360* cameras, 70L frunk, 14.6" infotainment screen & more. We will likely be offered the longer range model, expected to provide around 220 miles WLTP.

I quickly drove the 114BHP model, which was nippy and responsive & somehow managed the tight agility course very well, despite its cheap Linglong tyres! Unique in this class the EX2 is RWD which allows for the large frunk and impressive interior space.

I’ve you’ve never heard of Geely, they are the parent company of Volvo, Polestar, London Taxis and jointly own SMART with Mercedes, so are a big deal!

There is certainly signs this is an affordable option, with cheaper materials and quite a simplistic design, however I was still impressed with the modern tech, space and comfort for a car at this price.
