OpenBVE Throwback - R12 BMT 8 Train (Return Run)

R12 BMT 8 train, from Times Square to Astoria.

This is the return run of the previous run in the southbound direction; that video will be linked in the outro to watch later after this one. The BMT 8 was in service since 1917 when the line first opened. However, the number 8 only appeared externally on trains in 1948 before it was discontinued in 1949. At that time, there was a joint operation between the IRT Queensboro Line and BMT Astoria Line.

The R12 was in service from 1948 to 1981. Cars 5760 and 5782 are currently preserved, although 5782 is no longer operational and has been stored at 207th Street Yard for many years, while 5760 is at the NYTM and still runs on occasional excursions.
