Pavamaana sooktam is a part of the ninth Mandala and the sixth Ashtaka of the Rigveda Samhita. The literal meaning of the word PAVAMAANA is 'to purify' or 'to cleanse'. Therefore, chanting or listening to these Mahamantras helps us to overcome the sins acquired due to misdeeds. It can thus be considered as Praayashchitta Mantraaha.

Comprising of 610 verses [Riks], it is divided into 4 Adhyaayas [chapters] and ends with Pavamaana Khila. We hope listening to these mantras gives you pleasure and helps in purifying the mankind.
