CASA KRISTINA | WHISKEY SOUR WITH KC

Paris, France, my second home and stomping grounds for 5 years, is forever a part of who I am. I went to a lot of different places that served such great food, such great bread, such great... cocktails! The reason I want to share this with you is because this became - and still is - my drink of choice for “apéro” with great friends, great company, ever since I hit my 20s! The art and ritual of “apéro” will be one that I will keep for a long time! ✨

Cocktails are meant to be enjoyed an hour before dinner, just to wind down and have a good time. This is meant to prepare your mood and appetite for dinner ahead... I learned from the French that for friends and family, dinner is not just a time to eat and not talk. This is the time to actually tell each other stories, spend quality time, have a few laughs and great conversations! A time to actually share what went on in your day, and to share what’s going on in your life. 🍸

It might be tricky to gather friends and family these days, but if you’re looking for an intimate ‘cocktail hour’, here’s a recipe of my own personal favorite drink of choice...the Whiskey Sour! 😘

• 2 ounces bourbon / whiskey
• 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
• 1/2 ounce simple syrup
• 1/2 ounce egg white
• Garnish: Aromatic bitters (optional)
