Frank Zappa's wild "The Black Page #1" | Full Band cover by the Drieberg Brothers

We are excited to share an interpretation of Frank Zappa's wild and wonderful "Black Page #1", a piece that has been rarely tackled since it's composition in 1976, for Terry Bozzio.

We hope you enjoy the "statistical density", as coined by Zappa, tuplet motifs, nested tuplets, tuplets with nested quarter-note triplets. Even two tuplets of 11 in the space of one, all contextualised with a constant pulse on the high hat, in 4/4.

Regardless of the level of nerd you can channel analysing this piece though, we really love it for what it is, and hope you enjoy it too!
