The Chosen Episode 2 "Kin of the Seekers"

THIS THING IS FINALLY DONE AHHHHH!! Only took a million years, am I right? But for real, why did it take so long? Well, one reason is because I had worked a decent chunk on the episode way back after I had posted the first episode, then decided to scrap that entire version because it was crap tbh. I scrapped everything I had animated and storyboarded and rewrote the entire script for Ep 2, then I had to get new lines from my VAs and had to start all over with storyboarding and everything.
Why else would the episode take nearly 3 years to make? Well, there is the fact that I do all the work by myself. Literally everything. I write the script, I sketch/storyboard the entire thing out, I go through and line all the keyframes and then do the inbetweens, I do the coloring and the shading for each frame, I do the backgrounds, I edit the audio that I get from the VAs and do all the lip sync, I edit the clips together and add all the sound effects and music. Yeah, that is a lot of work, isn't it? Most animations you see on tv or whatever were made by a large team with multiple people all working on all those bits, which is why they can get episodes and such out at a decent pace. I am one person who literally animated an entire 20 minute episode by myself, yeah, that would obviously take some serious time.
Clearly both of these reasons make sense as to why it took as long as it did, but wait, there's more. There is also the fact that I went through quite a lot in these past few years. I struggled with my mental health off and on, I went through heartbreak, depression, the death of a family member, and a LOT of self doubt. My motivation would often leave me, making it impossible to work on anything for weeks at a time. All of those "Omg you are taking forever" comments didn't help either. It sort of ruins it for me when people are constantly telling me to hurry up. There's also those lot of people who enjoy telling me how unoriginal and crappy they think the story is or telling me it's just a copy of something else that's already been made. Like thanks, you can just not watch it you know. You don't have to be an ass about it.
Sorry, I'm just ranting now lol. Just please try to understand the fact that I am human and I can only do and take so much.
I am really hoping it doesn't take nearly this long to make any of the other episodes. I may have to change up some things so I can actually get episodes out more efficiently, such as simplifying the animation in some areas. We'll see, I will try by best. I really do want to get this story out, one way or another.
