When a bass legend asks a bassist to be in his band, you know he's a player. In November 2014, KYBP met up with Steve Bingham during sound check for a "reformed but unrepentant" Slim Chance gig at The Half Moon in Putney, London. Steve chatted about session work, his time with Colin Blunstone, and his membership in Ronnie Lane's Slim Chance. Forty years after Steve waxed Anymore for Anymore (1974) with the Small Faces / Faces icon, Bingham and Slim Chance were back on the bandstand, and in the studio continuing Ronnie's rootsy, folksy legacy. The club was packed, Ronnie's brother Stan sang a chorus or two of "Oh La La." I covered the band twice for Huffington Post UK.
