The process is the same, but for 94-97 the access to the pump and sending unit are separate (even easier really). Just twist the clamp off and then pull them out.

Ford Mustang Fuel Pump & Fuel Filter replacement
This video shows how to replace the fuel pump and fuel filter on a 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1. The process should be the same on all 94-04 Mustangs (Except the 03/04 Cobra has 2 pumps and would be harder to get to the fuel filter due to the IRS).
