Sir Duke, Paint the Town Red 2024

Uniting Voices Chicago and the Englewood and Lincoln Park/DePaul Neighborhood Choir Programs perform "Sir Duke" at Paint the Town Red 2024.

Paint the Town Red is our largest and most anticipated event of the year, bringing singers from all levels of our programs and every corner of Chicago together in the heart of downtown to celebrate and harmonize.

Sir Duke was written in 1976 by Stevie Wonder and released on his legendary album "Songs in the Key of Life." Stevie wrote the song in honor of jazz legend Duke Ellington, who had recently passed away in 1974. In this musically infectious groove, Stevie Wonder pays homage to major pioneers in jazz.
