Here is our Data Acquisition (DAQ) set, it’s ready, let’s put it together. Here’s a screwdriver and a set of Allen keys.

Alright, we’re going to be mounting our Data Acquisition unit to our mounting bracket here with a couple of 6-32 screws.

I like to have our bracket mounted with our smaller 10/32 mounting holes on the top and the ¼- 20 mounting holes towards the back of the unit.

So let’s take our 6-32 screws into the back holes and we’ll align that with the mounting holes on our DAQ and put those in and we’ll secure that with a Phillips screwdriver, just like that.

We are mounting our DAQ to our low-pressure benchtop unit here. The mounting holes on the side plate are going to be the same for a low-pressure benchtop unit or a full-size crossflow unit.

So let’s start by using a 10/32 screw and we’ll set that through the top hole on the mounting bracket. Now with an 1/8th inch Allen key, we can thread that in the center hole here.

Then we can put this up, we’re going to take our ¼-20 screws and line those up through the rear holes. We’re going to use a 5/32 Allen key to thread this.

Now we’re going to take this end of the power cord, and plug it into the top of the DAQ. And then we’re going to take one end of the serial communication ethernet cable and we’re going to plug that in the center port on the top, which is our RS485 port.

Onto the backside, we’ll take the other end of our power cord and plug it into the power supply. Make sure we thread that terminal plug on.

Open up this lower cap to close our ethernet port. Take the other side of your ethernet cable and plug it in right there.

Now at this point our Data Acquisition unit is fully hooked up and will start logging any data that you see on the front displays. If you want to get access to that data and see any of the remote view, you can do that using another ethernet cable, just connect that down under the ethernet cable at the bottom of your DAQ, and connect this end into your computer.
