Catriona Gray, kinoronahan bilang Miss Universe-Philippines
GUMAWA ng kasaysayan ang pambato ng Bicolandia sa mundo ng beauty pageant nang masungkit ni Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray(Binibini #20) ang highest title bilang Miss Universe Philippines sa katatapos na Bb. Pilipinas search sa Smart Araneta Coliseum nu’ng Linggo ng gabi, March 18.
Nagmula sa US Ambassador to the Philippines na si Sung Kim ang final question na nagpanalo sa kanya. “After the devastating war, Marawi is now on its way to recovery. What is your message to the young women of Marawi?”
Ang winning answer ni Catriona. “My answer and message to the women (of Marawi) is to be strong. As women, we are the head of the household. And, we have amazing influence not only (on) our own families – as mothers, sisters, and friends – but also (on) our community. If we could get the women to stay strong and be that image of strength for the children and the people around them, once the rebuilding is complete, the morale of the community will stay strong and high.”
Ngayong taon, nakatakdang maging kinatawan ng ating bansa si Catriona sa Miss Universe pageant na gaganapin sa December.
