How to Test a Ring Final Circuit - Ring Main or Socket Circuit - Ring Continuity & Polarity Tests

In this video me and Marcus look at dead test number 2 in BS767. In the test sequence this is "testing continuity of ring final circuit conductors, including protective conductors". We go through all 3 stages recording the results and we show the calculation for R1 + RN and R1 + R2 from r1, rn and r2 end to end readings. We prove the circuit is wired as a ring final circuit sometimes called a ring main or socket circuit. After proving the circuit is wired as a ring and the polarity of the sockets and record the results on the testing paperwork.
