How to Program Remote for Lifestyle Motorized Solar

Most people think installing their own motorized blinds and programming the remote is hard. Following the simple, step-by-step instructions in this video though makes hanging your custom shades easy to do yourself! Today we’ll show you how to program your remote for your motorized shades. Just a few clicks of a button and your shades will be ready to use faster than you can say “MOTORIZATION!”

Here’s how you do it:

To pair your shade to a specific channel on your remote, select the channel and press the P1 button on your shade. Within four seconds, press and hold the stop button until the motor jogs twice.

To set the upper and lower limits, move your shade to the desired highest or lowest position. To set the upper limit, hold the up and stop buttons. To set the lower limit, hold the down and stop buttons.

To set a favorite position for your shades, move the shade to the desired location. Remove the battery cover on the remote and press the P2 button o that the shade jogs once. Press the stop button and the shade should jog once. Then press stop again and the shade should jog twice, meaning the favorite position is now set!

To program multiple shades to work together on a single channel, start by selecting the channel you want the shades to be on. Press and hold the P1 button on the first shade you are pairing until the shade jogs once. Within four seconds, press and hold the stop button until the shade jogs twice. Repeat for any additional shades that you want to add to the group.

To lock or unlock your remote, remove the battery cover on the remote and press and hold the lock button for 5 seconds until the screen changes from U to L or from L to U. U means unlocked, L means locked.
