They don’t destroy each other — they just add up and pass through.|SUPERPOSITION PRINCIPLE #shorts

When two waves meet, they don’t “fight” or cancel permanently.
👉 They follow the principle of superposition
Which means:
At the point of overlap, their displacements add up
This can create:
Constructive interference (bigger wave)
Destructive interference (temporary cancellation)
But here’s the key:
👉 After crossing each other,
each wave continues exactly as it was before
✔️ Shape restored
✔️ Speed unchanged
✔️ Direction unchanged
Why?
Because waves are energy traveling through a medium, not objects colliding.
So they don’t “break” each other —
they simply pass through and move on.
