Two Steps At A Time--A Triple Amputee's Return to Independence One Year After Accident

Linda Olson lost both legs and her right arm in a train accident at age 29. During the next year, she learned to walk with above knee prostheses and mastered the activities of daily living, (ADLs) so she could return to living independently in Los Angeles where she finished her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the White Memorial Medical Center. And oh, by the way, she got pregnant and had their first child 19 months after becoming disabled. This short documentary was filmed in 1981 by family friend Michael Wat and his colleague Bennett Leeds near the end of her pregnancy, ending after the birth of their daughter Tiffany.
