In December 2015, the disappearance of a young fashion model named Li Lu in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, unfolded into a complex and tragic case. Initially reported missing by concerned friends, it was revealed that Li had a close but complicated relationship with a man named Chen Guanqi. Despite claiming not to be Li's boyfriend, Chen was deeply attached to her. On the night of December 5, 2015, after attending an event, Li disappeared. Investigation uncovered that Chen, her ex-boyfriend, had picked her up and taken her to a hotel where an argument ensued. Chen, unable to accept Li's involvement with someone else, impulsively attacked her, leading to a fatal stabbing. In an attempt to cover up the crime, Chen drove to a remote location on Daluo Mountain, where Li's lifeless body was later found in the trunk of his car. The subsequent police search and Chen's arrest unveiled a troubled individual struggling with personal issues.
