How to set gain levels for field recording (setting levels)
One question I've been getting more lately is about how and what are the best levels to set your gain for field recordings?
This is a question I don't have a clear answer which I'll explain why in this video. With recording sounds full-time the past few years, I'll share with you my experience and what I have learned.
Setting appropriate levels for your field recordings depends on several factors like the recorder, microphone, gear, environment, and what the sounds will be used for!
Please let me know if you have any questions that I didn't answer in this video and I'll do my best to respond! Thanks for watching.
