2019 Entrepreneur to Entrepreneur

For the past 3 years, as part of the CREATE Opportunity Initiative and in conjunction with National Entrepreneurship Week in February, the City of Bluefield’s Community and Economic Development has hosted the successful “Meet the Millennials”. The event was created as a networking opportunity and to pass on lessons learned by existing successful business owners to the next generation of entrepreneurs. The event targeted college students and anyone interested in starting a business. The setup is similar to “speed dating” for entrepreneurs. Aspiring entrepreneurs get to hear from 10 successful entrepreneurs about their journey as a business owner in 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, the business owners rotate to the other tables.

The CED rebranded the event to “Entrepreneur to Entrepreneur” or “E2E”. The setup will remain the same with an added networking event at the end featuring several of our CREATE Opportunity partners. Aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners are welcome to stay and network with our partners who provide multiple resources to businesses.

Since the past events have been very successful, we will now host a fall and spring event. Our first “Entrepreneur to Entrepreneur” was held on Thursday, October 17, 4PM, at the Bluefield Arts Center.
