SUMMER AFTER, the new short film from Josh Cox, takes place one summer after an impassioned romance with a girl from out of town. It follows 17 year old Mesa who yearns to better understand herself and reconcile with her past on the peninsula of Cape Cod in 1986.

About the film:
The film was shot in 3 days on Cape Cod in June 2021. Cox (22), acted as a "one man crew" alongside the actors where much of the dialogue was improvised, as Cox encouraged, for a level of authenticity.
