"Over 649,000 retail workers have put their notice in, in just the month of April, which is the industry's largest one-month exodus since the Labor Department began tracking such data more than 20 years ago." - WashingtonPost

That statistic is troublesome and I give my take to the fact the they are quitting, because they are underpaid, understaffed, work long hours and deal with terrible customers and mind working retail sucks. Overall, the numbers tell you in most cases a lot of people in retail feel demeaned and really hate their job.
