accounts: Custom AbstractUser handling roles and profile management.
appointments: Logic for scheduling, slot pickers, and status tracking.
queue_tracker: The core WebSocket engine (consumers.py) for real-time broadcasts.
records: Medical history, vitals, and sign-off workflows.
⚙️ Setup & Installation
Clone & Navigate: Enter the project root directory.
Environment: python -m venv venv and activate it.
Dependencies: pip install django djangorestframework channels daphne mysqlclient pillow whitenoise.
Database: Create mediqueue_db in MySQL.
Migrate: python manage.py migrate.
Statics: python manage.py collectstatic.
Run: daphne -b 0.0.0.0 -p 8000 mediqueue.asgi:application.

We use the Daphne ASGI server because standard Django runserver does not support the persistent connections required for WebSockets. This ensures your live queue remains responsive and scalable.
