This is the best practice kit ever, and here’s why… Today I show off my apartment practice drum kit and all its components. Starting with the Zildjian L80 low volume cymbals, we then move on to the Aquarian Super Pad on the kick and RTOM Black Hole mesh head on the snare. The Remo Silentstrokes are great for toms, and a simple hack improves their feel even further. The kit is fully miked up as well, which we take a look at in conjunction with the interface and DAW. Lastly, the whole kit is set up on a tennis ball riser, which isolates it from the floor. This platform prevents a large portion of sound from bleeding into the floor and throughout the building (an apartment MUST-HAVE!).
