Secondhand Official BJD Dollmore 1/4 BJD Supiadoll 1/3 BJD and Angel Little Monster 1/6 Opening Haul

I decided to purchase some official secondhand BJDs to show a cheaper option for those looking to enter the BJD hobby but purchas offcial dolls. When purchasing secondhand look for Doll Box, COA and, probably most importantly, receipt of purchase from official websites. It always helps to ask a lot of questions when purchasing secondhand, such as if the faceup was done by the producers (this alone can vary in cost from USD$20-50), if a wig is included (good wigs NZD$20-$50) and, of course, clothing. For me the quality of the resin is the biggest tell, not just externally, but internally too. Using New Zealand purchasing sites I decided on a Yo-SD 1/6 Angel Little Monster Blueberry which I was unfamaliar with but searched Den of Angels to make sure it was an official site, MSD 1/4 Dollmore Miro and Ciel head and a SD 1/3 SupiaDoll Rosy. All dolls came with their Official Box, Certificate of Authenticity and with some dolls a proof of official purchase was offered.

NZD$150 = USD$108
NZD$460 = USD$332.77

Part of this purchase was done as a test to see if official dolls are really 'out of budget' for recast buyers. Considering the 1/4 Official Dollmore was just on par with some 1/4 recasts from Aliexpress, the answer is no. Of course this does mean you have to buy secondhand and deal with some yellowing, possible string issues or fixed faceups but, again, its an official doll so you aren't flooding an already rather distrusting market with another doll constructed using another person's effort and art.

Are official secondhand dolls out of reach for playline doll collectors. Again, no. Using the 1/6 and 1/4 price as an example: NZD$150 = 3x Rainbow High Dolls or 10x Barbie Fashionistas.

I have picked out the names Eden and Eve for my 1/6 girls. I'm thinking of calling Miro, Yuri (glass/crystal, looked up Korean names) and 1/3 Supiadoll, Friday as I think she looks like a young woman that chills with a drink at the local after a hard day at work.

I have another Aliexpress haul coming up soon. We will look at Aliexpress BJD clothing, shoes, fake dolls and some other things like wigs.

Remember, it never matters if your girls are real or fake to me. Long as you love them, and they give you joy that's what is important.
