~~Video Description~~
The stereotypical 18th Century battle is a slow, plodding, open field engagement far off from any civilian centres. But the reality couldn't be further from the truth, as early modern armies fought in mobile engagements which demanded a high level of adaptability to a wide variety of situations on the ground. Often times, this included the use of local terrain and features to one's advantage, including the conversion of existing civilian infrastructure into military assets.
