QUEENSLAND BORDER CROSSING | 2500km Tassie to Queensland | Caravanning Family Travel Australia EP 43

2100km by road, 430km by ship, 4 States, 1 border crossing…. all in 5 days! Whoa, what a huge journey back to Queensland to reconnect with family, regroup, and commence our preparations for Season 3!

To avoid the Covid Hotspots we travel from Port Melbourne to Shepparton, crossing the Victorian/New South Wales border at Tocumwal, then connect up with the Newell Highway which runs the entire way to the Queensland border at Goondiwindi.

We are tired, sore from so many long days in the car, and are no doubt suffering from cabin fever by the time we reach the Gold Coast, but are hugely relieved to be back in our home State and seeing the smiling faces of the family we have missed so much over the last 5 months.

With Season 3 just around the corner there is lots of preparation to do, so let’s get to it!
