Rommel Sorto Killed in Single-Car Accident on I-35E in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX — May 31, 2026:
Authorities reported that 44-year-old Rommel Sorto was killed in a single-car accident on Interstate 35E near Commonwealth Drive shortly after 7:30 a.m. on May 31. According to officials, Sorto was driving a northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee when the vehicle reportedly failed to maintain an appropriate speed for reasons that remain under investigation. The Jeep was subsequently involved in a single-vehicle accident and collided with a road sign. Sorto sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. Additional details regarding the circumstances of the accident have not been released. The incident remains under investigation.
