Salty Backs Fins are 100% designed and manufactured in Burleigh Heads Australia. All the materials and consumables to make our fins are purchased here in Australia using only the most premium grade of materials available. All though the Salty backs Brand is relatively new compared to other Fin manufacturers the use of premium grade Australian materials is the reason we have backed our self when it comes to offering a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty to consumers.

OUR RANGE
All Fins are hand laid with an internal carbon fibre core for enhanced weight-to- strength properties and a finishing innegra Hex skin which helps with the external durability of the fin and the parabolic curve of the fin. The combination of the two materials helps battle the tuff and rugged Australian ocean environment. The noticeable difference to all other fins on the market is the artwork is displayed only on the sole side of the fin. This not only reduces the overall weight of the fin but helps with the characteristics of the blade. Did you know having the print on both sides of the Fin counteracts the carbon fibres within the fin slowing down the reactiveness of the fibres.

At the tips of our fingers, we have state of the art in house CNC cutting machine, commercial vacuum pumps, commercial thermal blankets (to control resin cure rates) and Sticker machine. This helps us control the whole process of fin manufacturing from start to finish using only the very best tool
