Shoulder SLAP Tear Rehab Regain Range of Motion After Surgery! #shorts

Early passive motion is one of the most important steps after shoulder surgery.
It prevents stiffness, adhesions, and unnecessary pain later.
But getting a patient to relax and trust the process is often the hardest part.

Here is Dr. Jason taking Greg through his passive range of motion seven days after his SLAP repair. At this stage the goal is simple. Move the shoulder through the protected ranges he is allowed to use, keep everything completely pain free, and prevent the early scarring that can make recovery so much harder.

The challenge is that patients naturally guard. After surgery the fear of moving into a restricted zone is real. It takes trust to let someone else guide the arm. But Greg is doing a great job here. 💪 A big part of that success comes from education. When a patient understands what range we are using, why it is safe, and how it supports their recovery, they relax and the motion improves dramatically.

This is the groundwork that makes strength, stability, and full return to sport possible. 🔥
