Nikon D3100 Mirror Lock up trick

Ok so you have a d3100 and you want to take some low light or slow shutter speed photos but your still getting vibration from the mirror flying around in side the body of your camera. Well there is a way to solve it and after reading a ton of posts and arguments I have definitive proof that Live View "DOES" lock up the mirror during shooting.
