Nest House by Studio Bark (2021)
This short documentary is about the construction of Nest House in Herefordshire by Studio Bark as part of their No Building As Usual programme. The film follows 12 student builders who lived off-grid and on-site over the course of a summer, and their journey from novice builders who had never met, to a tight crew that built a house for an elderly couple in the countryside. Led by Nyima Murry and photographer Jim Stephenson, the film was made by a group of people from underrepresented backgrounds: Hana Alsaai, Lela Sujani, Nabiha Qadir, Nada Maktari, Teshome Douglas-Campbell, Krish Nathaniel and Ella Mahalia Adu.
