And the most alarming fact is that at least half of those bitten by dogs are children.

That’s why the Svilicic family took a huge gamble and when they adopted a Doberman from a rescue shelter and brought him home to their 17 month old daughter back in 2007. What they didn't know was that this dog had a dark past and was fiercely protective of her puppies. Did the Doberman develop a bond with their child, or had the family made a terrible mistake ?
