Following the events of Chicago, San Francisco becomes the next city to install the ctOS (central Operating System), which connects everyone with everything. The game features a new protagonist named Marcus Holloway (Ruffin Prentiss), a young and intelligent hacker from Oakland, California. He was wrongly framed for a crime he did not commit by the upgraded ctOS, ctOS 2.0, which categorized him as the suspect. Realizing the system covertly brings harm to the innocent citizens of San Francisco, he decides to work with the hacking group DedSec to take down the city's ctOS 2.0, and Blume, the company behind ctOS

MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME: This game was a pleasant surprise while the the first was a bit of a disappointment. I think, unquestionably, expectations were lower for this game, and that might factor into how you perceive this game. The mood is MUCH lighter; Marcus is a much better protagonist than Aidan. You have a lot more tools now in the hacking department, and it allows you to approach the missions in a variety of ways. I played this game mostly through stealth, and seldom used any real guns. I felt that it added to the character, since DedSec is a hacktivist group, not a terrorist group.

As someone who has lived in the Bay Area before, I was really impressed in how Ubisoft captured the style and feel of the San Francisco and the other Bay Area locales. Only problem is that the city sometimes feels dead. There is not nearly enough traffic or pedestrians. Think more Mafia 3 instead of GTA V when it comes to this aspect.

The gameplay hasn't improved too much from the first, although the driving is noticeably better. Framerate is smooth, although I've heard there is performance issues on the multiplayer side of things. I've only done the campaign, and it felt steady. No big glitches, however there was one time when an objective wouldn't activate to a mission, and I had to restart the mission in order to get it work. No big deal, but worth noting.

All in all, it's a fun open world game that is worth playing. It's not the best in the genre, but it doesn't have to be. The story is fun and is EXTREMELY relevant to the political climate of the times. It's really crazy how many of the issues here relate to things we've been discussing about our presidential election in America. I can't remember any other game being that pertinent to the current times.

As always we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. We focused on the main story only, and left the side missions for a seperate video. We hope you enjoy!
