Lamplighter (lampář) on the Charles Bridge, Prague

Every day at 16:15 during Advent time you can meet a lamplighter on the Charles Bridge. ⭐️
He goes from lantern to lantern and lits the historical gas street lighting. Advent is the only time in the year when lanterns are lit up by the lamplighter.
Lamplighter’s name is Honza. I asked him about his favorite place in Prague, and he answered: “It is the Charles Bridge. This is the only one bridge in the world that is lighten by gas and has about 50 gas lamps. So this is my favorite place”.
