The Finnish Advanced Light Microscopy Node (FIALM) is a Euro-BioImaging Node in Finland that is a multimodal and multi-sited research infrastructure. It specializes in providing biological imaging and microscopy technologies and services accesible in Helsinki, Turku, and Oulu.
The Finnish Euro-BioImaging Node practices open-access policy which in practice means that any academic or industrial user is able to use services of the Finnish Euro-BioImaging Node. Contact us to inquire about possibily of using our infrastructure to do your research. The services of the Finnish Euro-BioImaging Node are open to local, national, and international users. The prices and reservation procedures are readily available on web pages of respective imaging core facilities.
In practice, the services of the Finnish Euro-BioImaging Node include open access to state-of-the-art imaging technologies including laser scanning and spinning disk confocal microscopy, super-resolution imaging (STED, STORM, and TIRF), live cell imaging, a vast array of electron microscopy methods (2D and 3D Electron Microscopy, Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy (CLEM), mesoscopic imaging (SPIM and OPT) as well as consultation, instrument user training, and matters related to bioimage informatics.
