Bang a Drum. Build a Tribe. Start a Movement: Phil Yanov at TEDxGreenville

You've always wanted to do it, haven't you? Who doesn't want to? Missing the few steps between want to and done? Here is your opportunity to hear how, straight from a man who's done it from scratch all the way to done and keep on doing it.

Phil Yanov is a Technologist, Columnist and Public Radio Commentator. He is the founder of Tech After Five as well as the founder and President of the GSA Technology Council.

His personal technology column appears in Greenville Business Magazine and the Columbia Business Journal. He co-hosts the Your Day technology shows heard on NPR radio stations across South Carolina. He is a frequent contributor to technology stories appearing on radio and television and was recently named among Greenville South Carolina's fifty most influential people.

In addition to being the co-chair and conference director of the South Carolina CIO and Executive IT Forum, he has been the master of ceremonies for such remarkable events as Innoventure, POSSCON, Innomobility and TEDxGreenville.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
