The Beatles Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

Inspired by Julian Lennon and Lewis Carroll's Alice In Wonderland (not LSD), Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds songwriting was started by John Lennon (credited to Lennon/McCartney) and completed during the Sgt. Pepper's recording sessions. The making of The Beatles' Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is from the 50th anniversary celebration surrounding the album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

"Sgt. Pepper's Musical Revolution" is a look behind the scenes of the album’s creation and cultural legacy after its June 1, 1967 release. The Beatles PBS broadcast includes “material never before accessible outside of Abbey Road Studios, including recordings of studio chat between band members and isolated instrumental and vocal tracks” while revealing “the nuts and bolts of how the album came together” and offering insights into the choices made by The Beatles, Brian Epstein and George Martin.
