Sir David Amess: MP's family say 'we will forever shed tears'

Following the sentencing of terrorist Ali Harbi Ali who killed Sir David Amess, his family shared their final public statement.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Met Police Assistant Commissioner Matt Jukes said, "We will forever shed tears for the man we have lost. We shall never get over this tragedy".

Sir David's family said the murder was "beyond evil" after Mr Justice Sweeney told a court Ali had shown "no remorse or shame" for the killing.
