Dear friends and followers, welcome back to my channel! Today´s video is another very interesting topic about the "Can you dim the cockpit lights?"

We´ll look at a facts why it is necessary to dim the cockpit lights and especially what´s that got to do with your eyes!

I´m pretty sure you´ve also dealt with eye adaptation in one way or the other. But in my video you´ll understand why it´s so necessary to be able to dim all cockpit lights and instruments. And this applies not just for airliners, little Cessnas and Pipers are also capable of dimming each instrument light or are turned off entirely and red flood light installed on the cockpit ceiling is turned on to illuminate all radials and dials.

This is another reason why the eyesight of a pilot has to be in good condition otherwise.
