There is a lot of construction in Arizona because of the growth around the entire state so do get used to seeing construction all around you always. Also Arizona is a state where you will need a car. Public transport systems are lacking in terms of rail. There is light rail in Phoenix, but no real long distance rail solutions for long distance travel.
