Shostakovich. Waltz No. 2 (Russian waltz)

Waltz No. 2 (aka "Russian Waltz") was written by Dmitry Shostakovich.
Waltz's greatest fame came after Stanley Kubrick's film "With Eyes Wide Closed".
The entire "Suite for Pop Orchestra" by Dmitry Shostakovich, includes eight pieces, including "Waltz No. 2".
The suite was first performed on December 1, 1988 at the Barbican Hall in London under the baton of Mstislav Rostropovich under the title "Suite for Jazz Orchestra No. 2".
The work was recorded by Riccardo Chailly under the direction of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 1991 (also mistakenly referred to as "Jazz Suite No. 2") and released on CD under the title "Shostakovich: Jazz Album".
