"Draw me FEEC!" Institutional Video of UNICAMP School of Electrical and Computer Engineering
A Whiteboard vídeo presenting the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the UNICAMP
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Campinas, has been committed to academic excellence since its creation, standing out for the quality of education, scientific and technological research, and outreach activities.
Through its free public education system, every year, around 100 students are admitted for the electrical engineering course and 90 students for the computer-engineering course in partnership with the Institute of Computing.
Our engineers are shaped to act comprehensively through a multidisciplinary curriculum with the possibility of obtaining study certificates in several specific areas.
Nearly one-third of undergraduate disciplines are taught in laboratories, putting the students in contact with current technologies and their associated best practices.
The faculty has contributed to our national development, graduating more than 5.000 engineers, 2.500 M.Scs, and 1.200 Ph.Ds, about a quarter of all PhDs in the area in Brazil,
being recognized by official national educational bodies and international rankings for its excellence in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.
We offer an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment, in touch with current innovation trends.
Our research activities are carried out in four departments that serve six areas: Automation;
Biomedical Engineering;
Computer Engineering;
Electronics, Microelectronics and Optoelectronics;
Communications;
and Electrical Energy.
Our faculty members are deeply involved with the highest quality research for academic and industrial applications,
contributing to a vital technology ecosystem around itself in Campinas, reaching impact around the world through our talented alumni, collaborations with international research groups, the exchange of researchers and students, including double degree programs with leading universities in Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
The significant number of patent applications and licensing of technologies are relevant innovation indicators.
The result of the synergy between students and professors with a view at entrepreneurship generates new technology companies resulting in new jobs.
Our commitment to excellence at UNICAMP’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering makes it stand out among the leading academic institutions.
